Thomas P. Adams died October 3, 2003 peacefully at his Port Orchard, Washington home after a short battle with cancer.He was born in Columbus, Georgia December 6, 1946 to Beacy and Lilly Mae (Patterson) Adams.Thomas graduated from Alameda High School in Alameda, California in 1971. He graduated from Grossmont College in Lemon Grove, California in 1973.He alson served in the United States Navy from December 1963 to June 1983 attaining rank of Chief Petty Officer (Quarter Master Chief).Thomas worked 14 years as Trade Instructor at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for Shop 99.He was Commodore at Port Orchard Yacht Club; liked traveling in his motorhome and camping and fishing.Thomas was a member of St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church.Thomas is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Westhoff) Adams of the Port Orchard, Washington family home; sons - Patrick Adams of Gorst, Washington, Anthony Adams of Port Orchard, Washington, Larry Adams of Bremerton, Washington; brother - B. Leon Adams (& wife, Jane) of Andersonville, Indiana; sisters - Virginia Hancock (& husband, Bruce) of Chiefland, Florida, Bettina Bankhead (& husband, Billy) of Gulfport, Florida; and, 2 grandchildren: Amber Adams and Kyle Adams.A public viewing will be held:Wednesday, 10-08-03 5-7:00 p.m. at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center;Thursday, 10-09-03 9-11:30 a.m. at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center; Thursday, 10-09-03 noon - 1:00 p.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church.A funeral service will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard, Washington at 1:00 p.m. on October 9, 2003.
