Born in Baltimore, MD on December 22, 1946, Thomas David Osborne passed away in his sleep on March 10, 2020. The son of a naval officer, Dave knew many homes across the states and the world, including California, Montana, and The Philippines. After graduating from high school in Roseburg, OR, Dave joined the army in 1965. His service took him to many locales, including Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge, he studied at Portland State University and graduated with a B.A in Visual Arts. He reenlisted in the army in the early 1980s and was stationed in Germany. After his military career he moved to Bend, OR and worked for Jeld Wen Windows. A loyal and considerate son, Dave moved to Port Orchard, WA to help care for his parents.
A fan of classic films and documentaries, Dave also had a passion for nature photography as both a consumer and creator. He loved being out in nature, hiking and observing the wildlife around him. Dave was preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. Osborne. He is survived by his mother, Betty June Osborne, and sister; Kathy Mayfield; nephew, Travis Mayfield; niece, Hilari Mayfield and their families.
Services and burial will be held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR.
