Tracey Maureen Larson, 68, of Olalla, died Monday, April 8th, 2024, at the University Of Washington Medical Center after a long battle with cancer.
Tracey was born November 23, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Robert Scoville and Diane McCarty.
She graduated from South Kitsap High School. During the summer of 1973, Tracey married the love of her life, Leonard, and that same year their only daughter Deane was born.
Tracey worked for the Kitsap County Health Department, starting in the early 80s and retiring at the age of 62. She and Leonard opened their own business, Horseshoe Lake Auto Wrecking, in the mid 90's and they ran it until they both retired in 2023.
Tracey's passion in life was everything horses. She was a member of the Washington State American Quarter Horse Association and the Kitsap Saddle Club. She was very active with horse 4-H and she was a club leader all throughout her daughters youth. Tracey went on to continuing to support 4-H youth by judging horse shows and helping organize events for many years to come. Tracey loved to be “at the show”. Her smile was bright and she inspired everyone she met.
Tracey is survived by her husband, Leonard; her daughter, Deane; son in law Jeremy; her two grandchildren, Zane and Zeth; sister Patricia, brothers Michael and William; and her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Zackary; her parents Robert and Diane; nephew Shawn, and niece Jennifer.
Tracey will be especially remembered for her huge heart and her fiery spirit that served to strengthen everyone she met.
“We will always carry your memory in our hearts”
