Tricia Moen

March 7, 1972 — May 6, 2011

Tricia Marie Moen, 39 died peacefully at home on May 6, 2011 due to complications of Colon Cancer.  She was surrounded by her family. Tricia was born in Bremerton on March 7, 1972 to Dennis and Cathy Moen. She graduated from SKHS in 1990 and from WSU in Pullman in 1994 with a BA in Communications. Tricia worked as a producer in television news for 12 years most recently for KOMO 4 TV in Seattle. She also wrote and produced TV News for Networks in Reno, NV; Phoenix, AZ; Wilmington, DE and Anchorage, AK. She was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Anchorage and enjoyed music and singing, reading and traveling as well as keeping in touch with the many friends she made around the country. She is survived by her parents Dennis and Cathy Moen of Port Orchard; sister Anne Fowler (Brad) and their children Felicity and Haven Fowler of Belfair as well as an extensive network of ‘family’ from the cities where she lived and worked; most notably her family of coworkers at KOMO 4 TV and St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Anchorage, AK. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Daisy and Oscar Anderson and her paternal grandparents Beulah and Glen Moen.
