The Life of TuilouÔ Joe Hunkin TuilouÔ Joe Hunkin was born on February 24, 1941, in Leone, American Samoa to Fiavivini and Patupatu (Ilaoa) Hunkin. On February 1, 1966, Joe married Sheryl Britton in San Francisco, California. He worked as a rigger for 35 years, retiring this year. He was also a Merchant Marine for the past 6 years. JoeÆs hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening, Promise Keepers, traveling, spending time with his family, bowling, and cooking. He was a member of Adventure of Faith Presbyterian Church in Port Orchard. Joe died on August 18, 2003, at Harrison Memorial Hospital. He was 62 years old. He is survived by his wife Sheryl of the family home; two sons, Uele Hunkin of Indianola, Iowa, and Alan Hunkin of Bremerton, Washington; a daughter Luana Tupua of Kent, Washington; five sisters; Tuvaelagi Hunkin AmituanaÆi and Tafia Fiamþ Taimalelagi of American Samoa, Vaotupu Hunkin (deceased, New Zealand), Ulutolu Vava¶ Tarrant of Moreno Valley, California; and Maleka Yoder of Rogersville, Pennsylvania; four brothers: FogÔvai Hunkin of American Samoa, Tuvae Frank Hunkin of Long Beach, California, Iulai Alu Vava¶ of Newark, California, and PoumaÆa Vava¶ of Rhonert Park, California, 11 grandchildren, Abigail, Emily, Jessica, Talia, TuilouÔ, Ethan, Ariana, Aumau, Jacob, Zachary, and Vaimagalo. Inurnment will be at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard. ôPrecious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.ö (Psalm 116:15)
