Utako Kessler died January 3, 2003 at her Port Orchard, Washington home. She was 71.She was born in Ueki, Kumamoto, Japan May 31, 1931 to Kazuo and Toyo Uemura.She married Richard J. Kessler in Fukuoka, Japan September 29, 1958.Utako is survived by her husband, Richard Kessler; her daughter - Jean Y. Neilson of Port Orchard, Washington; 2 grandchildren - Jason K.R. Kessler and Adam G. Silver.No services will be held.
