Valerie Gust

Valerie D'Ann Gust, 37 of Gig Harbor died in Tacoma on June 6, 2008. She was born September 28, 1970 in Needles, California to John & Pamela (Frye) Rookard. She graduated from Needles High School in 1988 and married Robert Gust in Tacoma, Washington on September 3, 1994. Valerie was a Domestic Goddess (homemaker) who enjoyed spending her time with her children, watching cartoons & playing video games. She loved all animals, especially her cat "Alley" & dogs "Moose", "Princess" & "Kracker". She was past Honored Queen, Job's Daughters, Bethel #105 in Needles, California and a member of the Eastern Star in Belfair, Washington. Valerie always had a smile on her face and although she had major medical issues for several years, she laughed her way through it all. She had hundreds of Teddy Bears everywhere and loved them so much that she will be inurned in one. Survivors include husband Robert of Beale AFB, California; parents John & Pam Rookard of Olalla, Washington; sons Thomas Rookard (19) of Olalla, Gary (12) & Johnathan (5), both of Gig Harbor; sister Debra Jensen (Troy) of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandparents Alberta (Peaches) Frye of Olalla, and George & Nadine Clous of Gig Harbor. Graveside Committal at 10:15 am on June 12, 2008 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
