Vera Payne

Vera Lucetta Payne, 101, of Port Orchard, WA, died February 7, 2002, at Ridgemont Terrace in Port Orchard.Vera was born December 15, 1900, in Nemaha, Iowa, to Charles Workman. She graduated from high school in Vermont in 1918. Vera then married her husband, Arthur Payne, who preceded her in death.A homemaker throughout her life, Vera enjoyed cake decorating and crafts. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.Vera is survived by a son, Charles Payne and his wife Betty, of Port Orchard; four grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and 1 sister.A graveside service will be at 1:00PM, Wednesday, February 13, 2002, at LaPine Cemetery in LaPine, OR.
