Vera Payne

Vera Lucette Payne, Age: 101, died on February 7, 2002 in Port Orchard, Washington.Vera was born on December 15, 1900 in Nemaha, Iowa to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Workman. She graduated from high school in Vermont in 1918.Vera married Arthur Payne, and then devoted her life to being a homemaker/housewife. She truly enjoyed cake decorating, and making crafts. She was a member of the Church of The Nazarene.Vera is survived by a son, Charles Payne and his wife, Betty, of Port Orchard. She also had four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.A graveside service is scheduled at 1:00 P.M., February 13, 2002 at LaPine Cemetery, in LaPine, Oregon.Arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home in Port Orchard.
