Verna Swaser

Verna Mae Swaser, 82 of Port Orchard, Washington died on April 26, 2005. She was born May 7, 1922 in Osseo, Minnesota to Vernon Arthur & Mary Elizabeth (Hamilton) Lennartson. She attended Osseo High School in Osseo, Minnesota. Verna married Al Swaser on June 20, 1947. He preceded her in death. Verna retired after 30 years as a Food Service Supervisor at Brainerd State Hospital in Brainerd, Minnesota. She enjoyed watching sports on television, crocheting, reading, and being with her family. Verna attended Faith Community Church in Pierz, Minnesota. Surviving are sons Steven (Karen) Swaser of Moorhead, Minnesota and Gerald (Sue) Swaser of Belfair, Washington; daughter Mariann (James) Kirkland of Olalla, Washington; brother John (Doris) Lennartson of Eugene, Oregon; sister Patricia (Richard) Robinson of Shell Knob, Missouri; nine grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Service will be scheduled at a later date.
