Victoria Dobbins, 94, died at her home in Port Orchard, Washington on March 22, 2007. She was born in Sequim, Washington on June 5, 1912 to Otto J. & Camilla (Pedersen) Sporseen. She graduated from Sequim High School in 1930 and married Nathaniel (Pete) Dobbins on April 30, 1938 in Seattle. He preceded her in death in 1995. Victoria and her husband owned Dobbins Lumber near Bellevue from 1950 to 1980 when they retired. After selling the lumber company, Vicky worked for McDonald's and maintained close relationships with the staff at McDonald's in 3 counties for the rest of her life. Vicky enjoyed gardening, horses, and animals of all kinds. She was well known throughout Manchester where she wore an orange reflective vest every day to walk the dog and collect grasses and clover for the pet rabbits. Within weeks of moving to the community, she knew everyone and often told correspondents how much she loved Manchester for welcoming her. She was a volunteer at Children's Hospital in Seattle. Surviving are her daughter Diane Roe of McKenna, Washington; grandson Brady; nephews Eric & David Cisney of Port Orchard, Art Sporseen of Tenino, Washington, John Sporseen of Nahcotta, Washington, and Greg Sporseen of Seattle; and niece Nita McCallum of Fairbanks, Alaska. She was preceded in death by her siblings Otto, Carl A., Stanley, Dagny, Solomon, and Ruth. Private family services will be held at a later date.
