Viola L. Lewis of Bainbridge Island, Washington died of natural causes April 6, 2004 at the Messenger House. She was 93. She was born July 11, 1910 in Charleston, West Virginia to Enoch and Kathleen (White) Rust. Viola married George Walter Lewis in Bridgeton, New Jersey. She attended school and was raised in Westerley, Rhode Island. She raised flowers and had a roadeside market in Bridgeton, New Jersey; worked at Owens Illinois Glass Factory 10 years; was a seamstress 15 years at Men's Brother's. She was a member of Baptist Church in Bremerton and United Methodist Church in Bridgeton, New Jersey. Viola is survived by sons - Eugene Enoch Lewis of Port Orchard, Washington, George Walter Lewis of Pennsylvania; sister - June in Rhode Island; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers - Enoch Rust and Samuel Rust and sisters - Francis, Kathleen and Buela. A graveside service will be held
