Violet M. Parker of Port Orchard, Washington died of a massive stroke December 25, 2003 at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, Washington. She was 76. She was born November 1, 1927 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Charles and Amanda (Day) Sheppler. She graduated from Vancouver High School in Vancouver, Washington in 1944. She married Donald R. Parker April 8, 1969 in Oakland, California. Violet worked as an accountant with the Navy Exchange in Auburn, Washington for 25 years. She was an avid gardener, collected chimes and bells. Violet was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her husband, Donald R. Parker of the Port Orchard, Washington home; son - John Swolgaard (& wife, Susan) of Bainbridge Island, Washington; daughters - Joann Judd (& husband, David) of San Jose, California, Mary Lemmon of Bloomfield, Colorado; brothers - Floyd Sheppler of Battleground, Washington, Richard Sheppler of Vancouver, Washington; sister - Beverly Haley of Lyons, Colorado; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brother - Leon Sheppler.
