Virginia Jensen

Virgina H. Jensen died July 9, 2003 at her home at Canterbury Manor in Bremerton, Washington. She was formerly of Aberdeen, Washington. Virginia was 86.She was born November 22, 1916 in Pomeroy, Washington to Harris A. and Avis (Steele) Adams.Virginia married Raymond Carl Jensen June 18, 1941 in Pomeroy, Washington.She graduated from Pomeroy High School in Pomeroy, Washington; and, also, attained a teaching certificate - graduating from Washington State College in Pullman, Washington.She was a teacher at Central Park Elementary School in Aberdeen as well as other cities across the country while her husband was in the Navy. She retired in 1970.Virginia was a member of Tri Delt at Washington State University; past member of Eastern Star in Pomeroy; enjoyed reading; liked to crochet, knit and tat; and liked visiting her grandchildren.She was an Episcopal Church member.Virginia is survived by her son - Robert Jensen (& wife, Kathy) of Anchorage, Alaska; daughter - Nancy Jensen of Port Orchard, Washington; 2 grandchildren: Margit Jensen of New York, New York and Eric Jensen of Anchorage, Alaska.A service will be held at Pomeroy Cemetery in Pomeroy, Washington later this summer.Memorial Donations may be made to:American Cancer SocietyKitsap UnitP.O.
