Virginia E Johnson

March 19, 1919 — February 7, 2013

Virginia E. Johnson, 93, of Southworth, died February 7, 2013 at Ridgemont Terrace nursing home in Port Orchard. Virginia was born March 19, 1919 in Taylor, ND to Susan & Chris Granum. Virginia had five siblings. On October 11, 1940 she married Earl “Ron” Johnson and in 1942 they moved to Southworth, Wa, raising two sons, Ron and Jerry. Virginia was a homemaker and assisted her husband in the family business, Johnson Electric as well as a founder of the Dr. A.A. Allen Children’s Orthopedic Guild in Harper-Southworth. She and her husband took pride in their beautiful landscaped property and raised large gardens. Mrs. Johnson resided at the Southworth family home for over 50 years at the corner of Sedgwick and Southworth Drive displaying a large “Welcome to Southworth” sign many of those years .
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband (on Feb 7, 2005) and her son Jerry. She is survived by her son Ron and his partner Robert Roblee of Southworth, Wa and grandchildren, Karren, Kurt and Lance of Idaho Falls, Id.
Special thanks to a dear friend, Bev Traweek for her many kindnesses to Virginia. The family is grateful to the staff of Ridgemont Terrace for the fine care Virginia received. Remembrances can be sent to Children’s Hospital in Seattle or a favorite charity. Private Burial will be at Sunset Lane Memorial Park under the care of Rill’s Life Tribute Center.
