Wallace Dyer

March 18, 1943 — August 5, 2005

Wallace "Bud" Dyer of Port Orchard, Washington, died at the Northwoods Lodge in Silverdale, Washington, August 5, 2005 due to Pancreatic Cancer. He was 62. He was born in Augusta, Georgia, on March 18, 1943 to Wallace and Anita (Nerenberg) Dyer. Bud married Lois (Jacobson) Dyer in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1964. He graduated from Hueneme High School in Oxnard, California in 1961; and, attained an Associates's Degree from Ventura College in Ventura, California in 1964. Bud was employed in the Waste Water Treatment field for over 25 years, first with the City of Bremerton, then as Plant Manager for Karcher Creek, and finally with the McNeil Island state facility. He enjoyed Nascar, football, basketball (watching, not participating); digital photography; growing tomatoes; reading, particularly Stephen King. Bud is survived by wife - Lois Dyer of the Port Orchard, Washington family home; son, Michael Dyer, of Southworth, Washington; daughter, Stefanie Hargreaves (and husband, Randall) of Seattle, Washington; 2 grandchildren: Lilia and Ava Hargreaves. He was preceded in death by son - John Steven in 1965; and, by sister - Suzanne in 2002. A memorial service will be held at Elim Lutheran Church on Thursday, August 11, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Elim Lutheran Church is located at 5911 East Hillcrest Drive, Port Orchard, Washington.
