Walter Alfred Hardin

October 23, 1934 — January 14, 2016

On 01-14-2016 Walter A. Hardin reached his hand out (after fighting a long battle with cancer and lung disease), to join his granddaughter Shannon ( who also lost the battle against cancer). Walt was born on 10-23-1934 in Amarillo, TX. He served his country from 1951 to 1971, then worked at Keyport retiring from both.

During his life Walt was Vol. Fire Captain of station #33 in Port Ludlow, WA for about 18 years,
Pamona Master to Jefferson County Granges, owner of Port Hadlock Appliance & Repair from 10-1978 to 8-1982 in Hadlock, WA., and very involved with the Fleet Reserve Branch #310 including a year as Regional President of the northwest during 1993-1994.

Walt is survived by his wife of 42 years Evelyn Hardin in Port Orchard, sister Joanna of CA, daughters Coral Jean (David) in Or, Tina of WA, sons John in CA, Allen and Paul in WA, 6 granchildren Shannon, Kyle, Kathy, Wayne, Jason, and Mike, 4 great granchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed but is believed to be playing with the puppys that he and Shannon shared a deep love for.
