Walter E. Lindberg, 79, died at his home in Port Orchard, Washington on January 17, 2001. He was born in Tacoma, Washington on August 17, 1921 to Wilfred Bundy & Hazel (Bokein) Post. He graduated from Riverside High School in Riverside, California in 1938. Walter married Olive Anne Doggett in Birmingham, England on June 3, 1944. She preceded him death in 1994.Mr. Lindberg was self employed as a Tool & Die Maker in the Aerospace industry in Southern California for 40 years, retiring in 1985. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, stationed in England. Walter was Past Master of the Masonic Lodge in Arcadia, California and was an active Shriner in the Puget Sound area.Surviving are son Wayne Lindberg of Port Orchard; daughters Virginia H. Browning of Arcadia, California and Nancy Cuen of LaVerne, California; and 7 grandchildren.Inurnment will be at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, California. Graveside services are pending.
