Walter Schultz

Walter W. ‘Bud’ Schultz, 77, a resident of Tahuya, died peacefully in the presence of loved ones in Silverdale on Sunday, July 24th. He was born in Eagle Bend, MN to William and Emma (Le’ helm) Schultz on February 16, 1934. He attended Central Kitsap HS and received his GED while serving in the US Army from 1953-56 as an E-4. He married Arlene Faye Jordan on October 8, 1954; she preceded him in death in 2007. He worked at PSNS as a General Foreman in Non Destructive Test, retiring in 1989. He loved fishing, razor clamming, oyster picking, mushroom picking, cooking, baking and bird watching and his best friend Tipper. He is survived by his best friend and companion Rosie Blumberg of Silverdale; sons Gary Schultz (Shelli) of Poulsbo and Wesley Schultz (Nancy) of Indianola; daughter Debbie Eaton (Doug); sister Sally Bloechl, 7 grandchildren Ben, Wes, Krystal, Chelsea, Jordan, Cortney and Jill; 4 great-grandchildren Calina, Lilly, McKenzy and Kylee. Service will be at noon Saturday, July 30th at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bud’s name to American Cancer Society, ATTN Memorials 2120 1st Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109.
