Warren Pitt

August 10, 1930 — September 30, 2010

Warren was born in Warren, Montana while his mother was chokecherry picking with her friends. Warren’s doctor then drove him and his mother in his new Cadillac to Lovell Wyoming where his birth certificate says he was born. This first drive began his love affair for cars, trucks and any kind of machinery.  Warren moved all around the west during his childhood as his father took any job that care his way. At 17 Warren enlisted in the Navy and spent 3 years on the U.S.S Comstock. After his 3 years in the Navy, Warren went to work in the Shipyard as a Machinist where he stayed until 1970.  In January 1953. Warren began dating Mary Scott. Three months later on March 16, 1953 the two wed in Bremerton Washington. Fifteen months later their first child Karen was born. Over the next 6 year they had four more daughters, Arleen, Dianna, Donna and Jeanne.  In the 70’s Warren began running two different gas stations in the Bremerton area. In 1980 Warren and Mary sought out their dream and bought an 850 acre farm in Edwall Washington. During the 1970’s, 80’s and 90’s Warren was blessed with 13 grandkids. Being a rancher is what Warren was born to do. He loved raising cattle and teaching his grandkids about hard work and dedication. After 16 years on the farm Warren and Mary sold their farm and moved back to Kitsap County.  Warren spent the next 14 years of his life spoiling his grandkids and his 15 great grandkids.  Warren is survived by his wife Mary of 58 years; daughters and son-in-laws Karen Pitt, Arleen Nicholson, Dianna & Gary Lanskey, Donna & Don Park, and Jeanne & Lou Fattrusso. grandchildren and their spouses Sarah & James Shepard, Bill & Amy Barr, Victor Barr & Leah Waits, Joseph & Emily Fattrusso, Billy & Ashley Nicholson, Jaimee & Jason Saling, Jeanette & Jeremiah Baird, Samantha Nachbar, Rebecca & Zach Neal, David & Stephanie Lanskey, James & Crystal Fattrusso, Edward Nicholson and Christina Lanskey; great-grandchildren Austin, Marissa, Mackenzie, Mckenlie, Louis, Aiden, Jessica, Solomon, Landon, Nicki, Ian, Nate, Adeliah, Emma, Azariah, Baby Lanskey, Baby Saling, and Baby Baird; and sister Leatta Haskins.  Graveside service at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
