Wayne Carney

Wayne Carney, 60, of Port Orchard died March 18, 2009 at his home from an extended illness. Wayne was born February 20, 1949 in Fort Lewis, WA to Albert and Candelaria (Juario) Carney. He graduated from Manteca High School in Manteca, California. Wayne married the former Thea Jean Allison, July 28, 1979 in Lake Tahoe. He was a helicopter mechanic in Vietnam from 1967 to 1971 with the U.S. Marine Corps. He was employed with civil service as a submarine painter at Bangor Sub Base for the last 20 years, retiring in 2007. He was also a former Little League Baseball Coach.  Wayne is survived by his wife Thea at the family home in Port Orchard, two sons Zac and Will (Trish), daughter Julie, brothers Albert (Linette), Carlos (Kathy) Brande, sisters, Freda and Emelley (Walt), nieces and nephews Albert, Stacy, Alicia (Jeff), Teresa, Trevor, Sam, Marie, Will, Frank, Carrie, Suzanne, TJ, Andrew, Bonnie Glenn, David, Shaun,  Marisa, sisters in law Gayle(Mark), Kathy, brothers in law Scott (Trish), Mike and four Grandchildren.  A memorial service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday March 24, 2009 at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.
