Wayne Foster was born on February 20, 1943 to James Foster, a Pearl Harbor survivor and Mary Jean Foster.
Wayne lived in Port Orchard and attended South Kitsap High School. He graduated in 1962 and then went on to play football for WSU where he was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the 11th round. He also played for the BC lions. Wayne was an art major in college.
He married Claire Poulton and adopted her two children Drew and Cindy. The couple had three more children; Jim, Aaron and the youngest Jessi. He owned 4 cedar shake mills, one in Dayton, 2 in Belfair and 1 in Purdy.
He loved the woods and being in the forests. He was an amazing painter who painted mainly nature scenes. His favorite song was Unchained Melody. Wayne loved life in everything that he did ......
