Wayne Johannsen

Wayne H. Johannsen, 77, a resident of Port Orchard, died at his home of congestive heart and kidney failure on February 1, 2010. He was born in Dubuque, IA on March 18, 1932 to Elmer H. and Lila (Murphy) Johannsen. He graduated from high school in 1950 and East Los Angeles City College in 1952. On October 5, 1973, he married Nancy Lott in Morro Bay, CA. He served in the Army from 1953 to 1955 and later worked as a printing pressman in Temple City and Monrovia, CA, making and printing labels for Avery Label, retiring after 30 years in 1996. He had two dogs, Flashie and Kolohe. He is survived by his wife Nancy Johannsen of Port Orchard; step-son Jim Lewis (Sue) of Parrish, FL; daughters Terri Ann Landrum of Murrieta, CA, Donna Cahill (Mike) of Palmdale, CA, Delinda Zimmer and Cynthia Johannsen both of Winnemucca, NV; sister Nancy Nixon of Arcadia, CA. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Johannsen and a niece, Jill Kelsey.
