Wells C. Felts, age 84, died Sept. 8, 1999 in Bremerton, WA.  He was born August 13, 1915 in Prescott, Arkansas to Thomas and Veron Felts.  He moved to San Diego, CA when he was in the second grade and he was raised there.  He graduated from Pt. Loma High School in CA. in 1934, from the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland in 1938 and received his Masters of Business in Education in Berkley, CA in 1959.  He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and retired in 1958.  He was a retired Navy captain and served during WWII, Korean Wa and the Vietnam Conflict as an ordinance and supply officer.  He most recently worked as a business teacher for five years at Southwest Community College in Coos Bay, OR. He was also the Vice President of Pacific Instrument Company in CA.  He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Retired Officers Association, and the National Riflemans ASsociation.  On August 17, 1976 in Salt Lake City, Utah he married Mary H. Gardner.  He is survived by his wife, Mary Felts of Port Orchard, WA., son Thomas Felts of Oakland, CA., step sons Grant Lyons of Gig Harbor, WA., Scott Lyons of Port Orchard, WA., daughters; Carol Fields of Berkley, CA., Helen Jonesof Berkley, CA., and grandchildren; Tracy Jones, Rima Fields, Gabriel Fields, and Conner Lyons.  Visitation will be 9/10/199 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and 9/11/99 from 9:00 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, WA 9/11/1999 at 1:30 p.m.  Interment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard, WA.
