Wendy Vant

Wendy Lorraine Vant, 42 of Bremerton, Washington, died with her parents Vergil and Leona (Pygott) Vant and her best friend Helena Adkins, in a train accident in Bourbonnais, Illinois on March 15, 1999.  Wendy was born in Bremerton on March 22, 1956 and graduated from Central Kitsap High School in Silverdale in 1974.Wendy started her career with the federal government in Seattle, and last worked as a Purchaser at Keyport, Washington.  She loved pinochle, bowling and traveling, and she collected art glass.Surviving are brother John Vant of Port Orchard; and sisters Valerie Hinkle of Burlington, Robbyn Handel of Bremerton, Virginia Vant of Bremerton, Melissa Flowers of St. Marys, Georgia, and Rebecca Phillips of Gig Harbor.Memorial Service Saturday, March 27, 1999 at 10:30am at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard.  Memorials may be made to the Red Cross.
