Whitman ''Whit'' S. Hall, 65, died at his home in Bremerton, Washington on September 18, 2000. He was born on April 25, 1935 in Flint, Michigan to Romanzo & Amanda (Jane) Hall and graduated from Nogales High School in Nogales, Arizona in 1955. Whit married Elsie Mannin Mears on April 19, 1982 in Reno, Nevada.Mr. Hall worked for 15 years as an Electrician with both Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton and Trident Refit Facility at Bangor, Washington, retiring in 1990. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1976 as an Electricians Mate 1st Class, receiving 3 Good Conduct Medals and the Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Stars. He was a past member of the Eagles & Elks, a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bremerton, and he enjoyed making his own beer & wine.Surviving are his wife Elsie; sons Dale Hall of Everett, Washington and Jeff Mannin of Bremerton; daughters Debra Littlejohn of Everett, Jeanine Roberts of Bremerton, Jeanette Mannin of Tacoma, Washington, Janiel Helmstetler of Everett, Tonalea Knox of Missouri, and Crystal Rasmussen of Oak Harbor, Washington; sisters Lorena McKiddy of Patagonia, Arizona, Lucinda Rodriquez of Patagonia, Arizona, and Bernice Ebersole of Escondido, California; 14 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by son Don Hall, brother Devere Hall, and sister Alicia Mitchell.Visitation will be Thursday, September 21, 2000 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard. Funeral Mass will be at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bremerton at 1:00pm on Friday, September 22, 2000 with visitation prior to the service from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
