Willard Dale Bryant, 88, of Port Orchard, WA passed away on April 27, 2020. Willard was born in Portland, OR in the spring of 1932 to Harry and Alta Bryant. He graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1951. Throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s he owned the Manchester Food Center and was self-employed as a meat cutter. Willard was appointed the title of commodore of the Port Orchard Yacht Club in 1971-1972. He also spent 8 years with the Army National Guard, State of Washington. Willard was affectionately known as “Daddio” to caretakers Sue and Juanita at Lutheran Home Care Services.
Willard’s favorite place to spend his time was anywhere with his family and his neighbors at Conifer Ridge. Some of his fondest memories included boating on the Aloyne, crabbing and clamming at Miller Bay, running his scooter around South Park Village, and taking care of his fuchsias while watching the playful chipmunks in his back yard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, bothers, sister and Suzie Q; his beloved dog. He is survived by his son Larry (Nancy) Bryant, daughters Linda (Walt) Benjamin, Joan Jensen, Donna Mallins, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
We will remember Willard with a smile as we hum along to “You are my Sunshine”. He will be greatly missed.
