William “Bill” Armstrong, 88, of South Colby, died peacefully Dec. 27, 2013 at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton. He was born May 20, 1925 in Enderlin ND to William & Mabel (Jorgenson) Armstrong. During WWII Bill served in the US Army and then worked on the Grand Coulee Dam Project. After that he worked at PSNS retiring when he was 55. Bill was a member of the VFW post 2669, PO Eagles, Helpline volunteer and Bingo Chairman at the Olalla Grange. He was an avid golfer, loved to shoot guns and fish. Survivors include a son - Jack Armstrong, two daughters - Penelope Armstrong & Sharon Archibald, a brother - Jack (Verna) Armstrong, two grandchildren – Gabriel Madison & Monica Terry and three great Grandchildren – Leslee Ellis, Christopher Madison & Jordan Terry. Bill was preceded in death by his wife – Vivian Mae Armstrong and sister Marjorie Flederman. Services will be 1:30pm Friday, Jan. 10, 2014 at Rill’s Life Tribute Center.
