William "Bill" Peter Carragher, 81, of Port Orchard died at Madigan Army
Medical Center in Tacoma on November 1, 2014. He was born June
30, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York, to William and Margaret (Braun)
Carragher. He married Fusako on November 5,
1957, in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka, Japan.
Bill served briefly in the United States Navy from 1951 to
1954, and then in the Air Force from 1954 until 1974, serving as
a member of the Fighter Intercept Squadron at McChord Air Force
Base in 1959. He retired from military service after 24 years.
He later worked for the United States Civil Service for 16 years
starting in 1979, before retiring in 1995.
Surviving are his wife Fusako; and sons Daniel and Robert. He
was preceded in death by his brothers Harold, Arthur, and Ralph.
Memorial service will be 1pm on Friday, November 7, 2014, at
Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Inurnment with Military Honors and a White Dove Release will follow at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
