William Buettgenbach

William H, Buettgenbach, 53, died at home in Port Orchard September 3, 2009.  He was born December 30, 1955 in Bremerton to William & Barbara  (Kepler) Buettgenbach.  He graduated from East High School in Bremerton and attended Olympic College.  He married Veronika Pirker November 22, 1997 in Bremerton. William worked as a Welder and Pipefitter for 27 years at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton.  He was also vice president of the metal trade union.  He served in the U.S. Army for 7 years at Fort Hood TX & in Frankfort Germany. William loved being with family & friends, time at the cabin, riding his Harley, and his dogs "Maxie & Sonny". Surviving are wife Veronika; parents Bill & Barbara Buettgenbach; stepdaughter Stephanie (Chris) Wilson of Port Orchard; brothers Steven (Barbara) & James (Lucy) Buettgenbach, both of Bremerton; and step-grandchildren Kody & Kyrsten.  He was preceded in death by daughter Christie Saurman. Memorial Mass 11:00am on Tuesday,  September 15, 2009 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 6th & Veneta in Bremerton.  Inurnment at Tahoma National Cemetery.  Memorial donations to Kitsap Humane Society, 9167 Dickey Rd NW, Silverdale WA 98383.
