Cap De Miero, 84 of Bremerton, died Tuesday, January 19, 2016. He was born in Union, Washington to Bill & Nellie De Miero. He graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1951 where he was quarterback of the football team, student body president & outstanding senior high student. After high school, he joined the Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Korean War . He served his country with valor.
He was a local businessman owning multiple hair salons in Bremerton & Port Orchard for over 50 years. He was a professional jazz musician from Alaska to Nevada and in between. He was civic minded and a community activist. He participated in many community events to revitalize the downtown Bremerton area. He loved his family and friends, and was a sports enthusiast. He loved to play golf, but his greatest joy was playing music and entertaining people.
He is survived by his children Anthony De Miero (Jeanne), Angela De Miero, Michelle Renée, godson, Michael Stone and his son’s EIlliot & Samuel; life partner Carolyn Irwin and her children Lori, Michael and his children Annalise, Jack and Jonah; Stephanie Hall (Ken) and their daughter Hailey; his brother Francis De Miero (Yvonne) and their children Vincent (Debra) and their children Miranda, Gabriel (Michelle) and their son’s Dante, Lorenzo and Xavier; Mrianda and Dominic, Carma Rodriques (Richard) and W. Joe (Pamela)
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Port Orchard at 2:00 pm. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, to please make a donation to Alzheimer's Research in memory of "Cap De Miero" at
