William Davis

William A. Davis, 86, of Port Orchard, Washingon, died April 19, 2002 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington.William was born November 2, 1915 in Ava, Missouri to Homer R. and Della Davis. On June 14, 1941 he married Fay E. Gentry in Twin Falls, Idaho. William worked for over 30 years at the Puget Sound Naval shipyard in Bremerton as a sheet metal worker. He retired in 1981.William enjoyed bowling, gardening, baseball and fishing. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Port Orchard.William is survived by his wife Fay of the family home in Port Orchard; a son, Denny R. Davis of Port Orchard; a daughter Betty Lou Sauget of Kent, Washington; two brothers, John T. Davis of Hammet, Idaho and Lloyd Davis of Twin Falls, Idaho; four grandchildren, Tom Sauget, Tammy Waterman, Jodi Davis and Dave Davis; and four great-grandchildren, Veronica Sauget, Aaron Waterman, Hannah Sauget and Abigail Waterman. He was preceeded in death by two sisters, Lotus Hartley and Lillian Peters.Visitation will be at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard on Wednesday, April 24, 2002 from noon until 5:00 p.m. and Thursday, April 25, 2002 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2002 with interment to follow at Sunset Lane Cemetery, Port Orchard, Washington.
