William Eldon

William Eldon May, 83 of Port Orchard, died at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington on December 2, 2000. He was born on December 26, 1916 to Arthur & Myrtle (Oliver) May. William married Eleanor Hansen on March 15, 1942 in Harper, Washington.Mr. May worked at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton for 31 years, retiring as a Shipfitter in 1972. He was a member of the Harper Park Improvement Club and enjoyed gardening, music & poetry. He was a long time member of the Port Orchard 7th Day Adventist Church.Surviving are his wife; son Vern May of Port Orchard; sister Alice Chaney of College Place, Washington; 2 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.Memorial service will be on Thursday, December 7, 2000 at 2:00pm at Port Orchard 7th Day Adventist Church. Interment will be at 3:30pm at Sedgwick Cemetery in Port Orchard.
