William Hyde

William C. Hyde died November 13, 2002 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. He was 77.He was born December 9, 1924 in Stayton, Oregon to Harry and Alma (Apple) Hyde.He graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington.William served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.He married Evelen A. (Johnson) Hyde January 18, 1947 in Port Orchard, Washington.He worked 15 years as a sales representative for Consolidated Freight Line of Seattle, Washington. He also worked as a sales representative for Met Life and Prudential.He enjoyed traveling, gardening, family and loved animals.William was a Lutheran.He is survived by his wife, Evelen Hyde of Port Orchard, Washington; daughter, Rita Tate, (and husband, Michael) of Bremerton, Washington; grandson, Michael Tate, (and wife, Jennifer) of Bellevue, Washington; and, was preceded in death by his sister, June Greer.A memorial service will be held at Rill Chapel of Port Orchard, Washington on November 15, 2002 at 2:30 p.m.Memorial donations may be made to:American Cancer Society,Kitsap Unit,P.O.
