William C. Nary, 84, of Port Orchard died December 14, 2008 of cancer. He was born in Orrtanna, Pennsylvania on February 4, 1924 to Quay and Nell (Allison) Nary. He graduated from Fairfield High School in PA in 1942 and completed many technical courses. He married Mary Lu Ellis on February 15, 1946 in San Diego, California. He served in the United States Navy as a Sonarman 1st Class. He worked for Hughes Aircraft for 25 years as an Electronics Engineer retiring in 1981. He also worked for the Post Office in Spokane for three years and was a self employed television, radio and appliance repairman. He was a member of the Washington State Kewpie Club, Kitsap Mineral and Gem Society and International Rose O’Niell Club. He enjoyed repairing cars or doing any kind of repair work; lapidary and rock hunting and antique collecting and traveling in the United States. He was preceded in death by son Brett; brother Quay and sister Nevabelle Herring. He is survived by his Mary Lu; son Quay Lester Nary of Port Orchard; sisters Doris Rohrbaugh and Jo Ellen Neely both of Gettysburg, PA; 3 grandchildren troy Nary, Brandi Rivers and Darla Graham and 2 great-grandchildren Skeeter Rivers, Jr. and Angelica Rivers. Graveside service at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent at 10:30 on December 30th followed by a Memorial service at the Gig Harbor Eagles at 12:30.
