William Ralph

William Edwin 'Bill' Ralph, 87, a resident of Port Orchard, died of natural causes at the family home on May 3rd. He was born in Pistol River, Oregon on November 27, 1920 to Enos Austin & Minnie Susan (Melville) Ralph. He married June Merchant on September 10, 1942 in Portland, Oregon. Bill served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Curry County Historical Society, the Knights of Pythias, and the American Legion. He primarily worked as a logger most of his life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors. He loved ranching and growing his own food by gardening. He leaves behind a loving family; sons William J. Ralph (Pat) of Texas and Charley E. Ralph (Terri) of Port Orchard; daughter Susan M. Ralph of Port Orchard; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. There will be a graveside service Thursday, May 8th at 1:00pm at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Port Orchard.
