William Ralph

William Edwin 'Bill' Ralph, 87, a resident of Port Orchard, died of natural causes at the family home on May 3rd. He was born in Pistol River, Oregon on November 27, 1920 to Enos Austin & Minnie Susan (Melville) Ralph. He married June Merchant on September 10, 1942 in Portland, Oregon. Bill served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Curry County Historical Society, the Knights of Pythias, and the American Legion. He primarily worked as a logger most of his life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors. He loved ranching and growing his own food by gardening. He leaves behind a loving family; sons William J. Ralph (Pat) of Texas and Charley E. Ralph (Terri) of Port Orchard; daughter Susan M. Ralph of Port Orchard; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. There will be a graveside service Thursday, May 8th at 1:00pm at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Port Orchard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Knights of Pythias Temple No. 17, P.O. Box 496, Port Orchard WA 98366 or American Legion Post No. 30, 615 Kendall St, Port Orchard WA 98366.
