William L. Robbins, Sr. died at the Auburn Regional Medical Center in Auburn, Washington August 17, 2002. He was 74.He graduated from Chimacum High School in Chimacum, Washington. He married Eldean (Kyser) Robbins September 30, 1950 in Long View, Washington.William served in the Merchant Marines following WWII. He worked at the Peninsula Feed Store in Port Orchard, Washington for 13 years; and, Wilkins Distributing for 25 years - retiring in 1991.He enjoyed fishing, traveling and hunting. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.William is survived by his wife Eldean L.(Kyser) Robbins of Port Orchard, Washington; sons William L. Robbins, Jr. of Seattle, Washington, Gary E. Robbins of Belfair, Washington; daughters Leslie E. Hawkins of Manning, Oregon, Robin L. Wood of Port Orchard, Washington; brothers Ed Robbins of Port Hadlock, Washington and Dan Robbins of Huntsville, Alabama; 6 grandchildren (Shaun Hawkins, Renee Scott, Rachel Robbins, Ginger Hawkins, Brittany Wood, and Lane Robbins); 6 great-grandchildren; and, was preceded in death by brother Dale.A memorial service will be held at Rill Chapel of Port Orchard, Washington Saturday August 24, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. A reception will follow the service.
