William Torres

William "Bill" Torres, 50, died at his residence in Port Orchard, Washington on August 22, 2006. He was born on September 18, 1955 in Tamuning, Guam to Ignacio & Agnes (Cruz) Torres. He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Tumon, Guam and attended Guam Community College in 1973. William married Annie Sablan on April 21, 2001 in Tamuning. Bill served in the U.S. Army from 1981 to 1984 as an E-4 and with the Army National Guard from 1984 to 1990. He worked for 12 years in Tamuning as a Tour Bus Driver, transporting Japanese tourists to their destinations. He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard. Surviving are his wife Annie; sons Jakim Cabrera of Tacoma, Washington and Jumaane Cabrera of Port Orchard; daughters Tammie (Chris) Pertile of Tacoma, Washington and Mary Jo Cabrera of San Diego, California; brothers Tommy (Diana) Torres and John Torres of Tamuning, Guam; sisters Eleanor (Tony) Flores of Santa Rita, Guam and Bernice (Frank)Mendiola of Barrigada, Guam; grandchildren Gabby & Milla Pankaskie; extended family Richard Aguon of Barrigada, numerous nieces & nephews; and his pet dog "Brownie". Visitation will be at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard on Saturday, August 26th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and Monday, August 28th from 9:30am to 11:00am. Memorial service at Rill's Life Tribute Center on Monday, August 28, 2006 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
