William Eric Ullstrom died at Ridgemont Terrace Care Center in Port Orchard, WA. June 14, 2002. He was 79.He was born in Boise, ID on November 10, 1922 to Franz Eric and Mary (Miller) Ullstrom.He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.He was an electrician with Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 30 years and retired in 1975.He was a former National Trustee, former Chapter President of the N.W. Musical Box Society International; and as a master craftsman he repaired and restored antique mechanical musical devices including automatas, musical boxes and player pianos; and was presented the President's Award by Myra Karp. He was a true romantic, enjoyed practical jokes, had a sense of humor and loved his grandchildren. He was a member of Elim Lutheran church in Port Orchard, WA.He is survived by his wife Lorna (Summers) Ullstrom of Port Orchard, WA., son John and wife JoAnn of Woodinville, WA., son Richard of Anchorage, AK., son James of Port Orchard, WA., daughter Mary Pekich of Seattle, WA., and daughter Margaret Neighbors and husband Lyle of Leavenworth, WA. and 5 grandchildren: Bill Bergin, Erin Bergin, Elizabeth Ullstrom, Rachel Ullstrom, Noah Ullstrom. He was preceded in death by daughter Barbara.A memorial service will be held at Elim Lutheran Church in Port Orchard, WA. June 19, 2002 Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard, WA.Donations may be made to the charity of choice.
