Willie Mcfather

Willie ''Red'' McFather 78 , of Port Orchard, Washington died December 17, 2000 in Bremerton, Washington. Red was born March 30, 1922 in Moultire, Georgia to William and Dora (Miles) McFather.Willie attended High School in Tampa Bay, Florida where he graduated. He was in the United States Navy from December 9, 1941 through 1961 where he was a Petty Officer 1st class. Red received the Good Conduct Medal & Worldwar II Medal.September 15, 1995 Mr. McFather married Mildred (Meyers) in Shelton, Washington. Red was a Lab Technician at Naval Hospital in Bremerton, Washington for 15 years upon retiring in 1976. Red was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars & Loved Cars.Survivors are Mildred, daughters Karen Darling of Port Orchard, Washington, Sharon McFather of Bremerton, Washington, 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30PM December 22, 2000 at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, Washington. Interment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard.
