Zola Rose Fargo, 87 of Port Orchard went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2006 at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, Washington. Zola was born in Hoag, Nebraska on January 1, 1919 to Jesse Frank & Blanche Katherine (Garman) Milbourne. She married James Junior Fargo on May 28, 1944 in Vallejo, California. He preceded her in death in 1999. Zola graduated from high school in Corning, California in 1936. She attended Pasadena College in California from 1936 to 1938. She completed her Nursing Degree at Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing at Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho in 1941. She entered the Navy Nurse Corps after her younger brother (a sailor) was killed at Pearl Harbor. She was released from service on October 22, 1945. She worked as a Registered Nurse at various hospitals and nursing homes in Indiana, California, Oregon and Washington. Zola was a member of the Nararene Church and attended Grace Biblel Church in Port Orchard. She was interested in her family, her church and the people around her. During the last two years, she enjoyed the company of her friends at her senior apartment. Surviving are sons James (Stephanie) Fargo and J. Steven (Linda) Fargo; grandchildren Jerilyn Fargo, Keith (Davina) Fargo, Melissa Price, David Fargo, Emily Vail, and Stephen Vail; and great-grandson Erik Price. She was preceded in death by brothers Archie & Jesse Keith Milbourne. Memorial service will be at Grace Bible Church, 7070 Bethel-Burley Road in Port Orchard at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 30, 2006. Inurnment will be at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.
